  i've seen how some are so burdened by the fact that they were witnesses, that literally, every day is a struggle.

  are you in need of therapeutic help because you are or were a jehovah's witness?

  I was in therapy to help deal with the depression for two years. It seems to have been caused by the upheavel in my life by leaving the JWs. My therapist described it as "culture shock".

  I never took any kind of anti depressant drugs; instead I got very involved with physical excercise. Years later I can say that it helped. What also helped immeasurably was social networking and making new friends.

  There is a lite at the end of the tunnel ( and it is NOT armageddon!)

  we know that the society uses these forums to get the "newest light" and oftentimes head off potential disasters.

  they blunted much of the un debacle within the jw community.

  clandestine president of the WTBTS is reported to be non other than MARY KAY of the cosmetics Empire which bears her name.

  sigh.....*pink sparkle*.....ahhh! oooooh!

  Our insider source informs us that MARY KAY herself started the religious persuasive belief in an effort to brace her fledgling cosmetics empire; where all district managers ( averging the highest sales of face cream and cheap lipsticks) drive a pink cadillac. They practice their cosmetic beliefs with a fierce, combative loyalty to face powders, muted colors, Mary Kay herself and all aspire to own and drive the pink Cadillac convertible automobile.

  Sources also say that the lucrative WTBTS became such a successful side business which in turn supported the cosmetics company she pioneered; that she chose to keep running the religiuos based Watchtower as a holding company for the Cosmetics giant she championed. Some say that a Mary Kay lipstick was given out with each Watchtower in a Campaign slogan started by Mary Kay herself after WW2 " I want to see a watchtower and a Mary Kay lipstick in every American home---NO 2 watchtowers and 2 Lipsticks in every American home! " The American consumers went wild over her products after the war.

  Mary Kay Cosmetic s where made world famous; being applied to some of the most .famous American female faces such as LINDA TRIPP and TAMMY FAYE BAKER.

  Sources also say that the WATCHTOWER HOLDINGs are currently staving off a corporate raid by none other than DONALD TRUMP, the New York Developer and occasional TV personality. It is reported that he is trying to TRUMP the MARY KAY Cosmetic firm to acquire WATCHTOWER; divest the religious portion of the Corporation and build low income housing on the Watchtower Brooklyn Heights headquarters. site .....it is also reported that the Reverand Sun Young Moon and his "moonies" were inquiring to purchase the religious portion of Watchtower, but the former Jerry Falwell ( in an attempt at a huge religious comeback) is trying to out bid for the legal rights......

  flat stanley seems to be lost.

  rhys hasn't recieved a postcard from him in weeks now...last one was from joy in florida.

  i know we had a poster in alaska who sent a card, but so far, it hasn't arrived.. last i heard, he was en route to california.

  i've lived in my new house for a year and a half... in a nice newer neighborhood, in town.. the dubs have never been to my house and i've never seen them in the neighborhood.

  i'm home almost all day every day!.

  i've had the mormons here 3 times.

  i have to say that the longer that i stay away from jehovah's witnesses, the easier it is to see that they are so wrong!

  so wrong about how they live their life, so wrong about their fundamental belief system, so wrong about how they treat people---whether they are jws or aren't.

  for any of you lurker witnesses here, please get off the fence and recognize you were never "in the truth".

  thank you for your inquiries regarding the barbara anderson vs. watchtower tennessee appellate court hearing, which took place on thursday, april 14, 2005. accompanied by steve and joy imhof, from panama city beach, florida, and our attorney, jerre hood, from winchester, tennessee, we drove to nashville to attend the 1:00 p.m. scheduled appellate hearing.

  this hearing was requested last year by defendants in the case, and they are: the numerous corporations of watchtower bible and tract society; watchtower spokespersons, j. r. brown, and david semonian, and certain elders of the manchester, tn congregation of jws.

  an open letter to anasazi

  anasazi........ i read with an open mind your post..i would like you to go to the member directory....click on my name and read my first post...and if you wish read all my post...if you can explain what has happened to me and my family...by scriptrual terms or not...ill listen...you one chance to bring me back...make good use of it...im not disfellowshipped or have not turned in a letter of disacssotion...but am trying to grasp what has happened ...keep in mind the elders have not called on myself...wife...children..even though weve left the door open to do so.

  to everyone else who reads this post...same thin..ill listen with an open mind to eithier side...but no matter what...im going back to school...im not going to waste my life by being poor and ignorant...that part ends now..... ...thank you for your time...donald

  donald,

  missed your introductory post first time around....welcome to the forum.

  Sounds like you got hit with both barrells! Whether or not you return to the JW way of life is something that will come to you over time. Do what you must do. I can only say hang in there and please do get your education! What a great example that will set for your children!

  I pursued a college education a bit later in life and never regretted it.

  honestly,

  it has been over 20 years since I initiated my own exit. At the time; it was very important to me to NOT give them the satisfaction of a disfellowshipping ( no grounds; although they did try). But in hindsight, it does not matter. I let it go a long, long time ago. My life moved on to bigger and better.

  I am so "disconnected" from their influence and thinking and cannot believe I was evey so "indoctrinated".

  It takes time; it took me at least 3 years for the fog to lift.

  Giving your life for a Brother or Sister, would you have done it?

  often, we hear that jw's would give their life for a brother or sister anywhere in the world.

  the more i know jw's, the more i say, "heck no"!

  since jw's believe in the resurrection, why bother?

  once while out in service in a bad neighborhood, two older sisters got out of the car on a return visit and one left her pocketbook in the car with me; she told me to guard her money with my life; and I responded that if a crook came I would give him every penny of her money....she replied

  "well frank, you will be resurrrected; but my money...." she had a sense of humor and fortunately so did I.

  But give my life for any of those " fanatics" ?

  No.
